First-Ever YouTube LIVE '08 event

Over the weekend, a lot of us who have made YouTube viewing (or uploading) part of your daily habit...or daily guilty pleasure witnessed the first YouTube Live '08 event last Nov. 22 featuring the best, noteworthy and everything in between of what's on at YouTube.

With the advent of YouTube (and free other video-uploading sites for that matter), anyone can be a celebrity with a worldwide audience; that is if your video is way great or just annoying.

Well, that's the power in our hands, the internet users all over the world.

The following creative souls (a million views ++ on YouTube) , however, definitely inspire everyone who has a video camera, Internet access, rudimentary editing software, and talent (or lack thereof) to reach the whole world.

Afternoon Pick-Me-Ups Yay!

Hilarious! Just as the work afternoon winds down...my eyelids seem to be filled with lead weights. Coffee seems to be the worst choice for me for an afternoon pick-me-up, caffeine has made me jittery lately. So, I reach out for my mouse and click on crazy vids up at YouTube...

Yay, them guys at YouTube should have a new channel up labelled "Caffeine Substitutes" or "Hilarious Pick-Me-Ups".

Just in time for the U.S. Elections: The Rep and Dems Dance-Off...Not Once BUT Twice!

and now for the Main Event the big Kahunas of the two (Dance) Parties

Who gets served on Election Tuesday? Your guess might be good as mine, Yay! c",

Sarah Palin Phone Prank (?!)

Two Montreal DJs, Marc-Antoine Audette and Sebastien Trudel, pulled off one helluva of a media hoax. They called U.S. Vice-Presidential Sarah Palin posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and staff. The stunt was deemed to be real as can be heard on an audio clip posted on YouTube.

I have heard the stuff being said and it is funny. Sarah was cautious though and stuck to her talking points. She really was suckered in the 5-minute plus prank by the DJs collectively known as the "Masked Avengers". The nerve and gall of these DJs to pull off this one, hahahaha, noteworthy totally!

Here's the whole audio clip of the outrageous phone prank:

The Masked Avengers from Montreal really ROCK!

Today in History Oct. 31, 2008:

Highlights of this day in history: Martin Luther leads start of Protestant Reformation; President Lyndon B. Johnson halts U.S. bombing of North Vietnam; India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi assassinated; Magician Harry Houdini dies. (Oct. 31)

I am back for my random postings here on my original blog...I really got the hang of wordpress, so I had to return to blogspot for change of pace so to speak...This is my blog/bookmark of my notables/interesting bits/probably-useful-later that I find on the World Wide Web.

To start off...Here are the Itchyworms with their latest "Freak Out"

YEAH...Retro really rocks me...AND speaking of retro and music videos, I had a blast of "discovering" that MTV is still relevant online...They have a new site where they posted almost all of their video collection...The guys and gals at MTV have given them YouTube peeps a run for their content...really now...

The video quality can be improved (I am speaking for moderate DSL) and the audio? Very manageable, which is just a hair width from good by the way...
